Selling Your Own Products - Digital Products (Ebooks)

Monday, September 7, 2009 9:58

If you intend to get started selling online, ebooks are the easiest products to get started with. For one thing, they’re digital which means that once you have one copy, that’s all you’ll ever need no matter how many copies you sell. There’s no need for inventory, shipping, taxes and other such costs associated with business.

If you choose to write your own ebook, always make sure that you convert it to a PDF document. That’s because PDF reader can easily be downloaded for free and PDF documents are browser-friendly, which means that you’re able to reach the widest possible audience. Other formats may not be compatible with both Mac and PC and believe it or not, not everbody has Microsoft Word installed. Also, PDF has become the standard for electronic documents, hence it would do you good to follow the standards. Another thing is that PDF documents can easily be locked so that changes cannot be made. This means that your customers cannot redistribute your products as their own.

You can use any word processing programme like Microsoft Word and then go to www.primopdf.com to get it converted to a PDF document.

Or if you don’t want to write, you can visit www.saledaddy.com It is basically a regularly-updated, massive vault of ebooks which you can sell freely after paying a one-time fee. You’re free to download and read all of the books. The collection includes very compelling stuff such as Ebay guides and even sex guides with full-color photographs. One-to-one coaching is also available.

Once you’ve got the ebook you want to sell, you should first go to www.paypal.com They’ll process your payments at no upfront cost. They earn by deducting a small percentage of each of your sale.

After that, you can go to www.e-junkie.com The first thing you have to do is link your Paypal account to your E-junkie account by providing your Paypal email address. E-junkie provides you with your very own online shop and automatically sends your book to your customers upon payment. There are a whole range of features available.

And that’s basically it. You then have to just wait for payments in your Paypal account which you can then transfer to a bank account. Wallah, money made!

Wishing you tremendous success on the web,

ZangoCash - Another Super Easy Way To Earn Money

Thursday, July 2, 2009 22:31
Posted in category Posts

Another great and easy way to earn money is via pay-per-install programs. Basically, they work such that you, the site owner, give your visitors access to their free content. These include very compelling stuff such as games, videos, wallpapers, softwares and so on. Yes, that includes some sexy stuff as well. In turn, your visitors will have to install their software before being able to gain access to the content. The software allows advertisers on the networks of these pay-per-install programs to advertise to your site visitors, who have installed the software. The advertising is usually non-intrusive.

As far as pay-per-install programs go, ZangoCash is the leader of the pack. It has the largest amount and widest variety of content available. It also has several ways for you to earn cash and more importantly, it is non-intrusive and can easily be uninstalled without leaving any “nasties” behind should your site visitors choose to do so.

For more information, visit the website: www.zangocash.com

Wishing you tremendous success on the web,

Adsense - The Easiest Way To Make Money

Tuesday, June 23, 2009 21:07
Posted in category Posts

The easiest way to make money is none other than with Google Adsense. There are a countless number of programs out there and I’ve tried many. Some do work but many are expensive, require lots of effort or are just flat-out scams. I’ll be recommending some of the better ones I’ve used but for now, I’d say that your best bet would be to start a free blog and monetize it with Adsense. Go to www.adsense.com and register for an account. Fill out the application truthfully (you wouldn’t want your checks going to your neighbour, would you?), and if you’re new to this, start with Adsense for content which is the simplest and most straight forward. Follow the instructions and copy the html code provided to your blog. Relevant ads should start appearing as soon as Google has checked your site content. Gradually, set up all the ad display formats offered by Adsense.

And no, blogger is not the only place where you can start a blog. There’s Wordpress, Typepad and many others (this is a Wordpress blog, by the way). I strongly suggest using Wordpress as you can have multiple pages and there are dozens of features like trackbacks and pingbacks (visit the wordpress website for details). The likes of CNN , Yahoo, Ford and many others use it, so you needn’t doubt it’s quality. Typepad is a paid service, however, their templates are stunning. You can find more information at www.wordpress.com and www.typepad.com respectively.

Once you’ve selected the service, you”ll have to decide on what you want to blog about. I’d tell you to go with your passions, but if you really want to monetize with Adsense, you’ll have to go with topics that are highly competitive, with advertisers bidding up to $30 or more per click. Google never reveals how much it shares with publishers (that’s you, the site owner) but many sources speculate that it’s between 40% to 50%. That means that if the advertiser is bidding $30 per click, you can get as much as $15 if someone clicks on that ad on your blog. From my experience, financial related topics such as ‘mortgages’, ‘loans’, and ‘investments’ are gold. But of course, the highest paying topics are constantly changing as advertisers tweak their advertising campaigns (Even ‘Cancer’ has taken top spot several times).

So, my advice is to search for ‘Most expensive keyword on Google’ or something to that end. Keywords are the actual words that people search for at search engines. Then, you can simply check out the highest paying keywords from the websites that come up and build a blog centering on that topic. But make sure you know enough about the topic and provide first-rate information that people will really find useful.

If you already know exactly what you want to blog about, there’s this nifty, little program called Spyfu. When you type in your topic (your keyword), it tells you how much the highest bid is, how many people are bidding on that keyword and much more. It might seem a little complicated initially but for starters, all you need to look at is the larger amount in the Cost/Click column. So for example, if I typed in ‘Insurance’, the Cost/Click column shows $0.96 - $16.00. I then half $16.00, which is $8.00, the approximate amount I can get if someone clicks on the highest bidding ad for that keyword. So basically, the higher the second figure shown, the better.

Once your blog is set up and ready, you’ll then need to drive traffic to it. I suggest using forums such as Yahoo Answers and uploading videos to Youtube. Yahoo and Youtube are the second and third most trafficked sites on the internet respectively, behind only to Google, so imagine the traffic you’ll get from them. Don’t forget to watermark your videos with your url and add your url in your video descriptions. Use all other free methods you can think of. Save the paid methods for later, when you’ve become more experienced. There’s also this program called InstantBuzz which is based on referrals. You get advertising credits for each person you refer to the program. These credits allow you to advertise your site. You also get credits for each person that your referrals bring in. Each new website that you visit also earns you credits.

And if you need content for your blog, you can go to ezinearticles or goarticles. They’re the largest article repositories on the web and have content for just about every topic conceivable. Or, if it’s relevant, you could even repost my posts on your blog by simply clicking the reblog button found at the bottom right of each post. But always adhere to the usage requirements of the authors or content providers (you could get into a heap of trouble by not doing so). With ezinearticles and goarticles, you basically cannot edit the content at all. You can only stick it in your blog as it is. If you want to use my posts, all I expect is that all links and urls remain and that I am credited as the author. You can even automatically update your blog by setting up RSS feeds from other blogs.

Wishing you tremendous success on the web,

Kelvin

Getting Free Traffic To Your Website

Sunday, June 15, 2008 22:04

Yahoo Owns GoogleImage by dannysullivan via Flickr

If you want to make money online, there’s no way around it:  You need to get as much traffic to your website as possible.

Paying for traffic via online advertising is a good idea, but some people just can’t afford to shell out the money to do so.

In this case, you need to focus on getting free traffic by helping your site get listed in the search engines and ranked for important keywords and terms.

Only by getting your site indexed and ranked will you be able to receive the free traffic you need.

The problem with free traffic, however, is that it’s not fast.  Indeed, it can take a good amount of time for search engines to list your content within the first ten results.

Here are some tips you can use to improve your website rank in search engines…

Tip #1:  Get Your Site Indexed

Getting your website indexed is relatively simple.  You can go to Google, Yahoo, and MSN directly and submit your site to their search engines, and eventually, their “spiders” will come, crawl your website, and list it in their search results.  You probably won’t be ranked very highly for any keyword terms just yet, but at least you’ll be there.

Another way is to bookmark your website on a social bookmarking service, such as Del.icio.us or Digg.  The easiest way to do this is to create an account for yourself on one of these services and bookmark your own website.

These websites help rank online news stories and web pages based on user votes, which the search engines place a lot of importance on. So the sites listed in these services get crawled very rapidly.  If you bookmark your own website, it can be indexed in all three major search engines in three days time.

Tip #2:  Create A Sitemap

Creating a webpage that lists all the pages on your site in a way that’s easy for the search engines to see everything you have to offer is a great way to get your pages ranked.  These pages are called Sitemaps.

Google has their own standard for sitemaps, so if you can create a google-compliant sitemap, you maximize your chances of having every single page of your website being listed in Google.

Tip #3:  Optimize Your Pages For Specific Keywords

The more you can gear specific webpages on your site towards certain keyword terms, the more likely you’ll be able to get them to rank for those terms.

To do this, you must make your page title, meta description, meta keywords list, and body content geared towards the keyword you want to be ranked for.

The key here is not to load each one of these factors with the keyword you’re targeting, but rather, to use related keywords and themes so as to prove to the search engines that your page is relevant to someone who’s searching for the keyword you are targeting.

Tip #4:  Submit Your Website To Directories

There are a great number of internet directories which try and catalogue websites out there, and submitting your website to be listed in as many of them as you can will be beneficial to getting free traffic.

Not all of these directories will send you traffic directly, but they will add weight and authority through backlinks to your website, which Google and Yahoo will definitely notice.

Tip #5:  Get Backlinks To Your Website

Search engines place a heavy importance on links directed at your website from other websites.  The more websites you can get linking back to you, the more important the search engines assume your website is.

If you can get other websites linking back to you using specific keywords in the link text, the search engines will assume that your site is relevant to those keyword terms and rank you higher in their results listings for those terms.

You can do this by offering to exchange links with other website owners, submitting your site to link directories, participating in blog and forum discussions, and submitting articles to related websites.

Just remember that free traffic is all about being ranked in the search engine results listings.  The more pages you can get listed in the top 10 results, the more free traffic you’ll get.

Wishing you tremendous success on the web,

Kelvin

Using Google Adwords To Get Website Traffic

Sunday, June 15, 2008 21:56
Posted in category Articles

One of the fastest ways to get traffic to your website is to buy it.  As an advertiser, you have a lot of different avenues available to you on the internet, but none is more powerful than Google.

Google gets over 30% of all internet search traffic - one of the largest search engines in the world.  But in addition to that, the Google Content network covers over 64% of the internet!  This means that your ad for your small website can get massive exposure across the internet, almost overnight.

Unfortunately, Google’s advertising solution, Adwords, can seem confusing and daunting to people who aren’t familiar with it.  Horror stories abound about people who want to get traffic to their website, and end up spending thousands of dollars on Adwords without making any money in return.

But if you know the right way to use Google Adwords, not only will your website get a lot of traffic, you’ll also save a lot of money.  Here are some tips to help you use Google to your advantage…

Google Tip 1:  Do Good Keyword Research

Keywords are the lifeblood of internet commerce.  The right keywords can make you millions.  The wrong ones can cost you millions.  So it’s important to find the right ones quickly, and stop paying for the wrong ones.

You can use Google’s keyword tool to find keywords to bid on, but you’ll want to make sure your keywords are relevant to your website.  For instance, if your site is about training dogs, bidding on keywords about cats is probably a bad idea.

Try and find as many keywords as you can that are related to your market.  The more keywords you have, the greater the chances of you finding a winner.

Google Tip 2:  Write Winning Ads

Having a good ad is just as important as having good keywords.  With a bad ad, you won’t get any traffic (or worse yet, lots of traffic and no sales!).

Google has very strict standards for the ads they display, so it can be challenging writing ads that meet their guidelines at first.  Just remember this ad-writing tip:

Create a headline that gets attention, and create body text that gives people a reason to click on your ad.

Simple, right?

Don’t be afraid to write more than one ad and test out which one does the best.

Google Tip 3:  Set A Reasonable Daily Budget

Setting a daily budget for your campaigns is what gives you a great amount of control over what you spend.  If you can’t afford to spend a lot of money, set your daily budget low - but not so low that you’re just wasting funds.

A good starting point is $50 per day.  That should give your ads enough time to display during the day without putting you into the poor house.

Google Tip 4:  Track Conversions

If you don’t track what keywords are making you sales, you’ll never know which keywords to get rid of.  Google offers conversion tracking, and it is vital to learning which keywords are duds and which are winners.

As you begin to eliminate keywords that aren’t converting, you’ll see that you’re spending less money and making more money.

A good rule of thumb is that if a keyword gets 200 clicks without a conversion, it’s a dud and should be shut off.

Google Tip 5:  Separate The Search And Content Networks

Google’s content network traffic is much bigger than its search traffic.  If you create a campaign in which your keywords are showing on both, you may be hitting your daily budget too quickly.

By separating the search and content network into two separate campaigns, you have a greater flexibility to not only manage the bids for your keywords on each respective network, but also to control your daily ad spend a lot more precisely.

So for instance, if you notice the content network gets more clicks but less sales, you can lower the daily budget to spend less.  If you notice the search network is making lots of sales, you can increase your daily budget to get more of that traffic, without worrying that you’ll get flooded with junk traffic from the content network.

Google Adwords can be a very powerful tool to get traffic to your website.  If you can master it, you’ll be able to make incredible amounts of money in no time.

Wishing you tremendous success on the web,

Kelvin
